Michelle Williams
When Michelle Williams was nine, her family moved to San Diego, California, and, at an early age, she became interested in acting. At age fifteen, faced with her parents’ disapproval, she emancipated herself from them. After completing the ninth grade at the Upper School of Santa Fe Christian Schools, in Solana Beach, California, she left school in order to pursue her acting career in Dawson’s Creek.[2]
In 1997, at age sixteen, she won the Robbins World Cup Trading Championship, as her father had done ten years earlier.[3] She turned $10,000 into $110,000 over the course of a year and that gain (as of 2006) is the fourth highest in the history of that competition (her father’s being the highest).

Is it important for you to find talent from outside the US?
Absolutely - especially the UK! I love the UK! We were actually just talking about getting out there to do a show or something. I can’t wait to come out there again.

I know! She’s been over there for a long time. I miss her! Tell her to come back (laughs)! She’s doing her thing over there. I’m very excited for her.
You’ve had a lot of success with your gospel albums. What made you decide to come back to pop and R ‘n’ B music?
I guess because I just love all types of music and it’s something that I missed. It’s not something new to me; this is what everyone knows me best for from my Destiny’s Child days.
