In 2005 she married Chris Coghill, her co-star from the TV series Burn It in Richmond Park, South West London.
Walsh knew there was a golden opportunity for a major breakthrough at these Games and while sixth place will presumably satisfy the funding folk at UK Sport, the chance of a semi-final spot went begging.
Of the squad, only Jennie Bimson has said she will not be playing on but there is no doubt several players here were not up to the job. Performance director David Faulkner has already threatened a cull.
The 70-minute slog was enlivened only by two decisions made by the video referee and a suicidal substitution of British goalkeeper Beth Storry.
The first video decision involved a lengthy wait while the third official deliberated on whether a Sarah Thomas shot from a 45th-minute corner had gone in too high. She ruled it had, even though it deflected in off the goalkeeper’s stick.
Then, when Hope Munro scooped in an Australian corner with eight minutes to go, an interminable delay was brought to a conclusion when Munro said the ball had hit her foot.
She had been selected as one of FHM’s “100 sexiest women in the world” six times between 1999 and 2004.
She regularly teaches at Amanda Redman’s Artists Theatre School
In January 2007, Lisa beat Mr T 3-2 in a best of 5 charity arm wrestling fete.
She has been a regular contributor on Big Brother’s Little Brother, a magazine programme about the reality UK TV show Big Brother broadcast on Channel 4.
It has been inaccurately stated from some sources she is the daughter of actress Sally Faulkner. In fact her mother, Julie, died of cancer when Lisa was 16. She has discussed in several interviews her feelings about her mother’s untimely death.[1]
