Kristin Davis was born in Boulder, Colorado. An only child, her parents divorced when she was a baby. She was adopted by her stepfather, University of South Carolina psychology professor Keith Davis, after he married her mother, Dorothy, a university data analyst, in 1968. She had three stepsisters from her adoptive father’s first marriage. Early in her childhood, she and her parents moved to Columbia, South Carolina, where her adoptive father served as provost and teaches psychology at the University of South Carolina.9

Kristin Davis wanted to be an actress since age 10, when she was cast in a community theatre production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Davis lived in South Carolina until she graduated from A.C. Flora High School in 1983. She then moved to New Jersey, where she attended Rutgers University.
Films
Films include The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3D, opposite David Arquette and George Lopez; the Walt Disney film The Shaggy Dog, opposite Tim Allen, and Deck The Halls, opposite Matthew Broderick. She performed in ABC Family channel’s Christmas movie Three Days in 2001, and in a commercial for Head and Shoulders shampoo.

Davis appeared in 2008′s Sex and the City feature film, under the direction of executive producer Michael Patrick King.[6] On October 15, 2008, TV Guide reported that Davis has signed on to co-star in Couples Retreat, a comedy chronicling four couples who partake in therapy sessions at a tropical island resort. Jon Favreau, who also wrote the script, will play her husband.

Shortly after the wide release of the Sex and the City feature film, in June 2008, Belk, the nation’s largest privately-owned department store chain, announced a partnership with Davis. The arrangement with the retailer includes an upcoming ladies’ apparel and accessories line which debuted during fall 2008 in 125 store locations and online, with eventual plans for expanding availability to other store locations. In Belk’s press release regarding the product line launch, Davis cited her upbringing in South Carolina as part of the inspiration in working with the chain.
Personal life
Davis is a recovering alcoholic. She says as part of her southern upbringing, she was introduced to alcohol early: “Alcohol freed me. I was really shy and I didn’t know how to come out of my shell. I drank for the same reason I loved acting. I wanted to feel things and express myself and be free. And I’m not naturally that way.” She went sober in her mid-20s: “I miss it. You don’t go to rehab and then suddenly it goes away.”

Having admitted a preference for dating actors, her ex-boyfriend list is high-profile and extensive, including: Alec Baldwin, David Duchovny, Jeff Goldblum, and Liev Schreiber. She says: “If I had one wish for myself, it would be to fall in love. That’s asking for trouble, but that’s the truth.”

Davis currently resides in Los Angeles, California.

So says Manhattan madam Kristin Davis, dishing on how celebrities would fare in the world’s oldest profession.

In an interview with Steppin’ Out, the Wicked Models boss arrested after the Eliot Spitzer scandal rated A-listers on how much they could earn as ladies of the night.

“Katie would be very popular because she has that All-American college girl look,” Davis said of Tom Cruise’s wife.

“I could probably get $2,500 an hour for Katie. Maybe even $3,000.”

Angelina Jolie would also be a crowd pleaser. “She would be my top girl. I call it my ‘Number One,’” Davis said during an interview at the Thompson Hotel.

“I would put her at $2,000 an hour. But you couldn’t get her unless you booked her for four hours.”

Davis thinks Britney Spears could command $2,000 an hour, too, now that she has cleaned up her act.

During her shaved-head period, she would have earned half that, she said.

Davis, who served three months in jail, is about to publish a book, “The Real Sex in the City: True Tales of the Manhattan Madam.”

She claims it will contain the names of powerful politicians, Wall Street bigwigs, celebrities, doctors and lawyers who patronized her call-girl ring.

Some of her prostitutes earned up to $1,600 an hour, but Davis says not everyone can command those prices.

Take former vice presidential candidate Palin.

“I wouldn’t have any market for her,” she said. “She’s cute, but not for my kind of clients … She could work for a cheaper agency – maybe a $300-an-hour type agency.”

In Davis’ opinion, Britney Spears, Paris Hilton and Melania Trump also all would fare well in the oldest profession, fetching upward of $2,000 an hour. Most Playboy Playmates, on the other hand, are too “fake looking” and their “boobs are too big” to draw top dollar from her usual clientele.
