Karima Adebibe
Formerly a sales assistant at the clothing store Topshop, she was selected on February 14, 2006 (both her birthday and that of Lara Croft) to be the seventh (and former) model for Lara Croft in the popular video game series Tomb Raider. The role involved promoting the game series “in-character” on television and radio, so Adebibe underwent training in Lara Croft’s trademark skills, from martial arts to elocution.[3] Adebibe was featured on “The HOT List #9″ on Zoo Weekly.
She had previously had a small role as a sacrificial maiden in the 2004 film Alien vs. Predator.
Nueva cara real para la heroína más conocida del mundo del videojuego. Eidos ha anunciado la firma con Alison Carroll, una joven de 23 años nacida en Croydon, Reino Unido, para que cubra el papel de Lara Croft durante los próximos años. Queda así jubilada oficialmente la actual representante de la arqueóloga, Karima Adebibe.
“Me he sentido muy cómoda al ponerme las ropas por primera vez. Me siento como una verdadera heroína”, declara Carroll al rotativo The Sun.
Esta nueva imagen es deportista y trabaja -o trabajaba- como recepcionista, por lo que mantiene la forma al máximo para parecerse a Lara Croft. Habrá que ver si también mantiene el tipo en la próxima entrega de la serie Tomb Raider Underworld, prevista para los próximos meses.
