Jakki Degg became famous when, at her mother’s encouragement,[2] she entered and won the inaugural Max Power magazine babes competition. Following this she became a Page 3 girl for the The Sun newspaper, and was voted “greatest ever Page 3 girl” in 2001.[3] She has posed topless and semi-nude for lad mags such as Front.
More recently, Jakki Degg has ceased to do topless modelling, instead remaining more covered up. However, Jakki returned to page 3 of the Sun in August 2006 after a 4 year absence.
In October 2006 Jakki commented in a lad mag interview that she would consider posing for Playboy, if she were the cover girl and the money was right.
Jakki Degg has appeared on television several times. She won the glamour models special edition of The Weakest Link (BBC1), had a small role in the drama Is Harry on the Boat? (Sky One) and played the lead in the short film Remember My Dream, directed by Joao Costa Menezes. She was also a stand-in for the tv show The Games but was not utilised. She wielded a shotgun on Channel 4’s Banzai as viewers were encouraged to wager on how many balloons she would pop with it.
She also starred in The Poker Academy, and the American film Eurotrip, and will appear in the upcoming films Catch .44, Clubbing to Death, and Goal! III.
