Debra Messing is set to return to television, with the announcement of a new weekly show called ‘The Starter Wife’, a spin-off of her successful Emmy Award-winning mini-series that screened last year.
The former star of ‘Will and Grace’ will reprise her role of Molly Kagan, and will also now serve as executive producer on the new show, which is set to premiere in October this year.

‘The Starter Wife’ will pick up with Messing’s character rebuilding her life after being dumped by her Hollywood studio executive husband .
Debra Messing, famously portrayed Grace Adler in the hit sitcom “Will And Grace,” is returning to television to reprise her other TV character.
Messing, 39, will revisit her role as Molly Kagan in the new weekly show “The Starter Wife,” a follow up to her successful Emmy Award-winning miniseries in 2007. She will also serve as executive producer on the show, which is scheduled to premiere in October.
“The Starter Wife” will pick up the time Molly is rebuilding her life after being dumped by her husband. She has to rediscover her own identity after getting divorced from a powerful Hollywood film mogul. The series will revolve around her post-divorce
