British actress Claire Goose is to join ITV1’s award-winning drama The Bill as Sergeant Rachel Weston. Best-known for her long running role as Tina Seabrook in Casualty and more recently as Amelia Silver in Waking the Dead, Claire will don her uniform for episodes airing from July 2008.
Sergeant Rachel Weston is a born leader who knows how to play the game and is respected by colleagues and bosses alike. She may look like head girl, but there’s a mischievous side to her and Sun Hill’s cops are going to feel the full force of her arrival.
Also bolstering up the uniform team at Sun Hill are three new PCs. Leon Taylor played by Dominic Power (Grange Hill, The Murder of Steven Lawrence), Millie Brown played by Clare Foster (Casualty, Crossing the Line) and Abhin Galeya (Holby City, Rome, Robin Hood) in the role of Arun Ghir.

Claire Goose (born 10 February 1975) is a British actress. She was educated at Wisbech Grammar School. She is best known for her role as nurse Tina Seabrook in the BBC television drama Casualty and later as DS Mel Silver in Waking the Dead.
Claire Goose was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, and grew up in Norfolk. She is a graduate of the Italia Conti Academy stage school. Early theatre roles included Addicted to Love, and Hitting Home with Colin Tarrant at the Man in the Moon Theatre (written by James Woolfand directed by Dave Gillies). She has an older brother called Duncan, who is an entrepreneur who started up the “one water” company where all the profits go to the roundabout playpumps in Africa.
She has received the attention of those who vote in the FHM magazine poll of the “100 Sexiest Women in the World” on numerous occasions, with improved placings over time:

Claire once said “the only people I can really see are actors and film crew because they don’t put you on a pedestal”: Inside Soap 1999. Claire married producer Craig Woodrow in December 2007. The two met 3 years previously on a blind date.
