Big Brother is a reality television show in which a group of people live together in a large house, isolated from the outside world but continuously watched by television cameras. Each series lasts for around three months, and there are usually fewer than 15 participants. The housemates try to win a cash prize by avoiding periodic evictions from the house. The idea for the show is said to have come during a brainstorm session at the Dutch production house of John de Mol Produkties (an independent part of Endemol) on 4 September 1997.

The first Big Brother broadcast was in the Netherlands in 1999 on the Veronica TV channel. It was picked up by Brazil, Germany, Portugal, USA, UK, Spain, Belgium, Sweden, Switzerland and Italy the following year and became a world-wide sensation. Since then it has been a prime-time hit in almost 70 countries. The show’s name comes from George Orwell’s 1949 novel Nineteen Eighty-Four, a dystopia in which Big Brother can always spy on the inhabitants of the dictatorship he heads through their television sets, with the slogan “Big Brother is watching you”.

She then became a special-needs teacher and enrolled at The University of Texas, studying physical therapy and social work. Upon graduating, she landed some small roles while living in Orlando, Florida, and soon moved to New York City. Alexander, who is of German, English and Native American descent,[3] started performing in commercials for her father’s miniature golf business when she was 9 years old. She graduated from William Henry Harrison High School in 1998. She trained as a dental assistant[2] before moving to Orange County, California to pursue a full-time career as a model.

Prior to being selected as a Playmate, Alexander appeared in Playboy Special Editions Hot Housewives and Sexy 100 in 2007.
During the shoot of American Summer, Alexander was encouraged to pose for the magazine by former Playmate Jennifer Walcott. Alexander sent in pictures to Playboy and was eventually selected as Miss May 2008. Alexander’s pictorial had a NASCAR theme and featured her as a driver and a mechanic of a customized Nissan 350Z for Playboy Racing.[1] Her pictorial and centerfold were shot by photographer Arny Freytag.
Personal life
Alexander has 2 tattoos; the one on her right wrist is the Chinese character for “love”, and the other is an off-center lower back tattoo of a butterfly just above her right butt cheek.She has 2 sons. She splits her time between her sons in Evansville and her career in California.
