In June 2003, after a series of commercial successes with the group, Beyonce Knowles released her debut solo album, Dangerously in Love. The album became one of the most successful albums of that year, spawning the number-one singles “Crazy in Love” and “Baby Boy”, and earned Knowles five Grammy Awards in a single night in 2004. The formal disbandment of Destiny’s Child in 2005 facilitated her continued success as a solo artist. She released her second album, B’Day in 2006, which spawned the UK number-one singles “Déjà Vu” and “Beautiful Liar”, as well as the worldwide hit, “Irreplaceable”.
Hard at work at a Los Angeles studio, Beyonce Knowles was spotted filming a scene for her new movie “Obsessed” on Monday (June 23).
“Obsessed” tells the story of “a successful professional man with a beautiful wife who finds his idyllic life threatened by a temp in his office who reveals herself as a stalker.”
Co-starring alongside the 26-year-old “Irreplaceable” singer are Stand By Me stud Jerry O’Connell and sexy Heroes actress Ali Larter, among others.
Still in the early stages, the Steve Shill directed thriller/drama doesn’t find its way to theaters until its slated February 27, 2009 release date.
Beyonce Knowles’s sister SOLANGE swapped her boot support for sexy high heels for her appearance on MTV’s TRL on Wednesday (11Jun08) after revealing her broken toe was giving her a fashion headache.
The singer checked in with her doctor before donning her designer shoes, insisting she didn’t want to appear on U.S. TV wearing a “moonboot”.
Knowles, whose toe was broken by stage equipment before a show, says, “My doctor… told me that if I wear really high heels that it takes the pressure off the toe and puts it on the bottom of my feet.
“Usually I wear, like, this moonboot and it’s just really ugly, it’s bad.”
