Cassie Lane’s Whitehouse School of Dance recently attended Dance Spotlight USA in Tyler and Star Systems Dance Competition in Cedar Hill. Several group dances received awards for being in the top five overall in their division. Katrina Flores, Hannah Martindale, Codi Potter and Amanda Vargas all placed in the top five in their age division with their solo dances.

The competition team members are Cassie Lane, Becca Bailey, Lauren Bailey, Darian Cassady, Ashley Cole, Emily Estrella, Sarah Farmer, Katrina Flores, Jennifer George, Anna Hayden, Miranda Henderson, Molly Henderson, Jessica Hernandez, Laura Humphrey, Shelby Jeter, Ashten Lane, Jayme Lawrence, Kristen Liles, Mayca Madulid.

Blonde beauty Diane Kruger will star with Dermot Mulroney in Run For Her Life, a thriller from director Baltasar Kormakur.

Diane Kruger and Mulroney will portray parents who head to Mexico to save their young child, who is in dire need of a lung transplant. Once there, they find out the replacement organs they have arranged for their daughter were taken by force, possibly by organ thieves, resulting in a critical moral dilemma for the couple.

Elizabeth Berkley was born in Farmington Hills, an affluent suburb of Oakland County, Michigan and grew up in Detroit, Michigan. Berkley is Jewish and is of German descent. She attended North Farmington High School and graduated in 1990. From a young age she excelled in dance and practiced every day in a small dance studio that her parents constructed for her in the basement of their home. In 1982, at only age 8, she auditioned for the lead role in the film Annie, but was turned down because she was too tall. As her love for dance increased, she became more interested in pursuing it professionally, even travelling to New York to train with other dancers and top choreographers. She began to take part in several ballets, including Swan Lake and, in 1983, she starred in some musicals.

Mel Brooks isn’t going anywhere. The renowned funnyman says he’s not closing down his production shingle Brooksfilms, contrary to a New York gossip page report, and is developing a horror film “I’m not quitting,” Brooks, 81, told The Hollywood Reporter. “Brooksfilms is still here and will be going on for a while. I’m not at all slowing down, and nobody has told me to stop.”

Emily Procter is a native North Carolinian raised in Raleigh. She graduated from Ravenscroft School, and then attended East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, where she earned a degree in Broadcasting while also studying dance. While in college she did her first work on television for WITN, a local NBC affiliate, as a “weather girl”.
